It has been a long time since I picked up my Faber Castell gelatos. Kind of makes me wonder why. This entire Art + Design class I am taking at Big Picture Classes, has had me wondering why is it that my first love of painting has been put off. I keep having to be reminded how much I can put paint and paper together.
Wilna encouraged us to use a clear embossing resist technique with the gelatos and I tried it out with Heidi Swapp's Make Pretty Stuff stencil. It gave the paint a little bit of texture.
I also enjoyed using the new Heidi Swapp Beautiful Sticker available at Hobby Lobby stores. I have always loved large titles but this one filled with glitter makes me happy. You know, the kind of glitter that doesn't rub off and give me anxiety attacks. That kind - makes me happy.
I added Heidi Swapp September Skies stamping along the bottom of the page. I love that it almost looks like part of the watercolor.
I am taking time out this weekend to play a little more. I am kind of finding my groove again - meshing my styles into one. I like where this is going.
